In the mood for a night (or more) under the stars, surrounded by greenery with a touch of history? Pitch your tent at Kamping Koer, located on the grounds of the former army base Kwartier 51 in Sijsele. What was once a place for army trucks and patrols is now a charming campsite where nature is slowly reclaiming its space.
Our tent pitches offer:
An open grassy field with plenty of space to set up your tent
A peaceful, green setting — far from the noise and concrete
Access to shared showers
A unique location full of character
Perfect for cyclists, backpackers, or anyone who wants to unplug for a while. No noisy neighbours or fairground vibe here — just birdsong, fresh air, and a hint of adventure.
Simple, pure, and just a little different. That’s Kamping Koer.
Checking in is easy: just call the phone number in your confirmation email when you arrive at the site. One of our hosts will welcome you and show you to your spot. See you soon!
When you’re leaving the campsite, you’re welcome to stop by the “Hondenkoer” — our pop-up area for dogs. Of course, you can also just leave the site directly; just let us know in advance. :)
The team regularly organises activities. You can find them on our activities page.
On our blog page, we’re happy to share our favourite restaurants, bakeries, local activities, and plenty more tips.
